What is Group Therapy?
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which a trained therapist works with several individuals together in a supportive and structured environment. Participants benefit from their interactions with one another by sharing experiences, exploring thoughts and emotions, receiving and offering feedback, and developing new ways of understanding themselves and their relationships. The group itself becomes an important part of the therapeutic process, providing opportunities for connection, recognition of shared human concerns, and authentic encounter in the here-and-now.
